Our Mission

The mission of the EDI Center is to provide high quality, practical and technical resources for the business community by providing targeted EDI job postings, supplemental staffing, and ongoing support of EDI programs as well as providing a resource for contractors and employees to locate short term and long term positions.

The EDI Center provides resources for employees to find EDI jobs in their field from entry level EDI Coordinators to EDI Managers, and technical positions.

The Company

The EDI Center was founded in 2004 but is based upon over a decade of experience with our previous company, The EDI Connection, which was acquired by QRS Corporation in 1998. QRS later became part of Inovis which merged with GXS in 2010.  During the 1990's, the EDI Connection provided services for small to medium sized vendors to meet their retail trading partner's EDI requirements.

Today, the EDI Center is a premier provider of support services that help companies make efficient use of their EDI processes with EDI support through contractors and qualified job applicants.

Key Personnel

The principal of the EDI Center has extensive experience with implementing and supporting EDI systems and trading partner relationships.

Cathy Mueller, Principal

Cathy has worked with computers since the 1970's and has a B.S. in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration.  One of her first major projects in the business world involved developing credit authorization systems for regional retailers which later became part of Federated Department Stores and The May Department Stores. Cathy was a founder of The EDI Connection, a service bureau for processing EDI transactions, which during the 1990's helped over 500 vendors become compliant with their retail trading partners. The EDI Connection was sold to QRS Corporation in 1998 and Cathy stayed on in a product management capacity for two more years.

Today, Cathy provides both technical and implementation knowledge to the EDI Center and works with employers to help them find the best resources for supporting their EDI applications. She designed the EDI Center's EDI Fundamentals class based upon a combination of hands on knowledge, attendance at numerous UCC conferences, and her experience with speaking engagements.

Cathy has been a frequent speaker at Regional EDI and business conferences giving presentations at meetings by the Associated Construction Distributors International, Independent Computer Consultants Association, Data Processing Management Association, Ocean User Group, AIMS Seminars, JCPenney Regional Meeting, EC Golden Opportunities Conference, and QRS Customer Conferences.   Cathy is also a contributing editor for the Handbook of EDI, authoring the EDI in Retail chapter.
