Position: EDI Programmer Analyst

Job Overview:

The Programmer Analyst – EDI will provide EDI development, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for company infrastructure. Assist internal and external customers with EDI related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates data translation maps, set up trading partners, trade agreements, and communication methods.
  • Creates processes, scripts, and scheduled tasks to automate file transmissions and provide automated notification of errors or problems.
  • Create and maintain stored procedures.
  • Troubleshoots existing translation maps, processes, stored procedures and modify if necessary.
  • Communicates with trading partners regarding problems or questions on electronic transactions.
  • Support HIPPA 4010 and ICD9 environments and related transactions.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for the EDI system and processes.
  • Resolves errors, identify formatting, data content, or timeliness issues, and communicate with trading partners of issues.
  • Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.

Work Experience:

One to three years experience programming experience with VB.net required. Programming experience with TSQL, and Health Plan experience a plus.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of data security concepts, data mapping/translation and OCR and imaging processes. Accountable for the quality and accuracy of work performed. Maintain confidentiality and security of information. Work autonomously and independently, and as a member of a team. Take initiative to improve processes and implement solutions. Self-management skills and ability to prioritize workload. Position is standard work hours, but also requires occasional availability for “off hours” activities, including checking job statuses, and troubleshooting production issues.
