The Responsibilities Entail the Following: 

• Supports essential business functions by ensuring that on-line and batch business information systems projects are implemented according to specifications, on schedule and within budget.
  
• Directs systems implementation projects by planning, directing and monitoring the work of systems and programmer analysts.
  
• Monitors and addresses day-to-day system performance, efficiency and availability of production systems within area of responsibility per established service level agreements.
  
• Actively participates in the evaluation and prioritization of proposed systems projects based on cost/benefits, available IS resources, and overall IS objectives.
  
• Ensures the success of each project by directing system development phases, including:
  
- Meeting project objectives within specified cost and time frame parameters
- Developing and tracking project schedules
- Assigning appropriate personnel and resources to projects
- Coordination of IS function and user reources
- Tracking actual versus planned expenses for projects
- Researching and evaluating the acquisition/development of appropriate software products
- Participating in the development of success criteria and ensuring that they are met
- Conducting feasibility analysis
- Gathering and organizing business/user requirements
- Coordinating and assisting in creation of user acceptance test plans and execution
- Responsibility for application design, coding, system/unit test plans and execution
- Coordinating implementation schedules within IS and with business operations
- System implementation planning and execution (including user training sessions and associated documentation)

• Participates in the hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing of group personnel.
  
• Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)
  
• Builds strong relationships between teams within I/S and between I/S and related business teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate*s Degree, Bachelor*s Degree preferred.
  
• 3+ years of Lead experience.
  
• EDI Applications experience a MUST.
  
• 3-5 years of project lead background primarily with logistics functions: Product planning and procurement, Order processing.
  
• Familiarity with other logistics functions (shipping and receiving, etc)
  
• Demonstrated involvement with EDI VAN relationships.
  
• Demonstrated handling of EDI partner relationships.
  
• 3-5 years EDI technical background including: Gentran partnership set up and mapping, as well as Sterling Commerce.
  
• 2 years AS2 (preferably iSoft) experience.
  
• Mainframe programming background preferred, especially Cobol/IMS/CICS/JCL
  
• Open systems (UNIX/Oracle) knowledge desirable.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills desired.
