The Company and Position:

BioWorld Merchandising, Inc is a major distributor of licensed apparel and accessories to retailers in North America, Canada, and Europe. Our office is located in the Las Colinas area. We are seeking an EDI Technical Support Specialist. This position analyzes and makes recommendations concerning EDI testing, implementation, production, staffing, and other resources to meet the company's EDI needs and ensure the technical validity of all EDI monitoring, error identification, error resolution, and work performed.

Qualifications:

Must have an extensive background in computer technology and an ability to translate computer requirements into appropriate support programs.
Requires effective written and oral communication skills necessary for maintaining strong relationships with all levels of management and customers.
Problem-solving skills are essential.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
Mas200/500 experience is a plus.

Essential Duties:

Meets EDI computer systems objectives by studying data, evaluating options, and making recommendations
Knowledge of mapping for new trading partners.
EDI system integration/implementation
Knowledge of SQL/Access database
Knowledge of True Commerce EDI (third party provider)
Knowledge of UCC-128 labels & UCC/SCC barcode standards
EDI transactions

Tests new programs, suggesting modifications and changes
Prepares reports as needed and requested by management concerning EDI computing operations and activities
Ensure the appropriateness and technical validity of all EDI work performed
Recommends, when necessary, consultants needed to conduct evaluations or perform other services needed for EDI computing support and performance
Maintain EDI compliance with trading partner and industry standards
Update and maintain product catalog information
Research EDI related chargeback's, identify solution(s), and communicate with appropriate departments
Process EDI data for high volume orders to provide consolidation and routing information
Interact with internal and external customers to ensure data integrity
Maintain regular backups of data files on server
