Position Summary:

The QA Engineer will specialize in EDI/HIPAA testing and will be an integral part of our QA team, helping to increase the quality of our EDI driven applications. The successful candidate will focus on performing EDI testing scenarios; generating test data for different HIPAA standard transactions testing tools. The candidate also should provide consulting advice and timely responses to technical and business related questions/issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and Execute EDI test cases.
  • Design Architecture of EDI automation testing tools.
  • Run and analyze results of automation test cases.
  • Test Java based applications on Windows, Linux and HP UX operating systems.
  • Assist development and support teams in resolving customer issues.

Required Skill Set:

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field required.
  • 2 years experience applying general EDI transactions including X12 and UN-EDIFACT, and applying Healthcare EDI transactions including HIPAA, HL7, and NCPDP.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle, software testing, test automation, test design, and test planning.
  • Understanding of Healthcare Payer claims data, HIPAA standard transaction and code set standards, and industry code classifications such as ICD9, CPT, National Drug Codes, etc. a strong plus.
  • Experience in ICD10 a strong plus.
  • Knows SQL well. RDBMS: MSSQL, Oracle.
